Alison McSlarrow, the wife of lobbyist-bundler Kyle McSlarrow, was formerly deputy chief of staff to Sen. Trent Lott (R-MS) and a staffer (like her husband) on former Vice President Dan Quayle's 2000 campaign for the GOP presidential nomination.[1] Since the 1990s she has represented Microsoft in its lobbying efforts associated with the company's federal anti-trust case.[2] She also helped lender Fannie Mae successfully resist further regulation and signed on to work for the repeal of the Public Utility Holding Company Act (a 1935 law that makes it difficult for utility companies to acquire other utilities outside their home districts).[3] Finally, she represented the American Trucking Association's interest in preventing Mexican truckers from traveling outside of border towns until they met safety standards.[4] Other recent clients include Nextel, Northwest Airlines and US Oncology.[5]
