John Clerici

John Clerici is a former Air Force JAG lawyer now working as a lobbyist for McKenna Long. He specializes in homeland security issues, in particular those related to bioterrorism, and much of his work has been dedicated to trying to convince Congress to grant immunity to vaccine manufacturers working on anthrax and smallpox inoculations.[1] Recent clients include Sanofi, MedImmune, and Emergent BioSolutions.[2] When he ran as a candidate in 2001 for the Virginia House of Delegates, one of Clerici's primary opponents, David Warrington, said Clerici had offered to bankroll a future state Senate race if Warrington would drop out of the race. Clerici lost the primary anyway.[3]
