Eric Robert Burgeson is a vice president at lobbying firm Barbour Griffith & Rogers. He served previously in the Bush administration as special assistant to the president, associate director for presidential personnel at the White House, and chief of staff for Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham.[1] Many of his current clients are in the energy business, including BP Amoco and Coal 2 Liquid. Other clients include the Kurdistan Regional Government, Lockheed Martin and the National Rifle Association.[2] Burgeson advised Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) on environmental and energy policy until the campaign severed ties with him in May 2008 following the implementation of a policy designed to weed out conflicts of interest among staff members.[3] As a bundler, he has raised at least $50,000 for McCain's presidential campaign, according to information released by the campaign.[4]
